The Fiat Grande Punto - Now Even Cheaper
Fiat has scrapped plans to sell the popular Fiat Grande Punto 1. 4 Active 3 door for £6,995 under the Government's recently-announced scrappage scheme - and will offer it for £6,695 instead. Under the scheme, the Fiat Grande Punto 1. 4 Active, which normally costs £9,650 OTR, already benefits from a £1,000 rebate from the Treasury for motorists scrapping their old car in exchange for a new one. the full story

The One Millionth Fiat Grande Punto Produced
The one millionth Fiat Grande Punto has just rolled off the production line at Fiat's factory in Melfi, Italy. Built in right-hand drive form and destined for the UK market, the millionth Fiat Grande Punto is a Passionate Red Sporting version equipped with Fiat's potent 1. 4 T-Jet 120 bhp turbo petrol engine. The Fiat Grande Punto was launched in 2005, following in the footsteps of two highly popular cars - the original Fiat Punto (from 1993 to 1999) of which 3,500,000 were built, and the second series (launched in 1999 and currently still on sale in some markets under the name Fiat Punto Classic), whose production exceeded three million. A successful model across Western Europe, the 2008 Fiat Grande Punto has recently been improved with the adoption of several new features aimed especially at younger drivers. the full story
