Chevrolet enjoys best-ever March sales Over 3,000 new Chevrolets registered during the month Matiz and Kalos are top performing models More motorists turned to Chevrolet for their new ‘07’-registered car this year than ever before - and it’s easy to see why. With a total of 3,042 cars sold, GM’s global brand enjoyed its best ever March new registration sales since it debuted in the British market in 2005. Driven by great value, no-nonsense pricing, a practical and stylish model range and comprehensive equipment levels, Chevrolet’s sales boom shows that customers are placing more and more importance on value for money and a brand they can trust in an ever more competitive new car market. The best performers in Chevrolet’s line-up were the perennially popular Matiz and the much-admired Kalos supermini, which now offers even more value for money thanks to the introduction of a new entry-level 1. 2S five-door version for the 2007 model year. The Chevrolet Matiz is not known for its speed nor is it known for its luxury. It could never be labelled a supercar but around town it is a super car and offers a few surprises in many areas. The old Matiz was so popular that it made it to the top of the mini-car charts and the new one is set to follow, even though there are plenty of others in this segment. To be honest, there are plenty of friends and colleagues that would lament that I had to drive the Matiz for a week, in fact some did and I’m about to explain why they were wrong, after all, it’s a case of horses for courses and pennies in purses. First of all, it is cute, especially in bright, Highway Yellow. the full review
